Imkerei Franta

Logo Design

Client: Imkerei Franta

About:
Beekeepers B. and M. Franta approached me to make a logo for their new brand. They had done no branding up to this point and needed me to create a cohesive identity from the ground up. It was important to them that the logo had a connection to their last name and that it portrayed the company in a unique way. Future expansion of their product line was also taken into consideration, resulting in a logo whose versatility allows it to be used on an endless variety of bee-centered products.

Copyright:
The logo is original and for better display of the design, I placed the brand mark on sample stock photographs and mockups as seen below.

Logo

Three rounded bars serve to create an abstract bee, as well as making an “I” for “Imkerei” (honey farm) and the “F” to represent the Franta family name.

Colour Scheme

The main brand colours are a golden yellow, symbolically representing the honey, as well as the bees and black to go with it.

Typography

As logo type a rounded grotesque was chosen, which resembles the shape of the logo icon.
